This leadership development program is created for the community activists and advocates who stand at the front lines for Colorado’s underrepresented communities. Participants come to this work carrying many perspectives, values, and priorities—and with an unwavering commitment to justice. They are passionate, driven leaders who fight every day to secure dignity, opportunity, and belonging for the people they represent.
The leadership journey begins with Foundations, a 5-day, immersive, in-person learning experience on our Colorado Springs campus. Participants arrive ready to explore a Key Leadership Challenge that is shaping their current work. Throughout this dynamic week, they engage in experiential learning, deep reflection, and focused dialogue rooted in proven leadership frameworks. These experiences strengthen participants’ ability to lead with purpose and partnership—bringing intentionality to the work of creating space and possibility for communities across Colorado.
After completing Foundations, participants are welcomed into the broader CLI community, where they continue to grow their network and contribute their expertise. By supporting other cohorts and collaborating on health equity-focused projects, they help fuel a statewide movement for lasting, community-centered change.
